How Long Will Each Treatment Take

This will depend on the size of the treatment area, your skin condition, and desired results. In general, an anti-wrinkle treatment usually takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The actual injections will only need a few minutes to be administered. Before the start of the procedure, we will first discuss your questions and desired results. This allows us to determine how many anti-wrinkle injections you may need.

How Long Will The Results Of Anti-wrinkle Injections Last?

Results can last anywhere from three to five months. For best results, we recommend a second treatment after four months. It is important to remember that every patient is unique and that results can vary from individual to individual.

How Much Does Wrinkle Treatment Cost?

The total costs may vary. You need to consider several factors, such as the following:

  • The amount of substance administered.
  • The medical facility or clinic fees
  • The number of treatments needed.
  • The size of the body area
  • The type of wrinkle treatment
  • Your desired results

During your consultation, we will provide you with a detailed breakdown of the total costs associated with your treatment.

Risks

Although treatment with wrinkle relaxers is associated with very little downtime, no cosmetic injectables procedure is completely without the chance of side effects. Your aftercare instructions will help you to minimise some of the side effects. These include:

  • bruising
  • swelling
  • redness at the injection site
  • In rare cases, there can be temporary weakness or drooping of nearby muscles

Recovery

Aftercare following injectable treatments, such as anti-wrinkle or dermal fillers, is important to ensure optimal results and minimize potential complications. While specific instructions may vary depending on the type of injectable and the area treated, here are some general guidelines to follow:

  • Avoid touching or applying pressure: For the first few hours after treatment, avoid touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated area. This helps prevent the spread of the injectable and ensures it remains in the desired location.
  • Ice and cold compresses: Applying ice or a cold compress to the treated area can help reduce swelling, bruising, and discomfort. Use a clean cloth or a cold pack wrapped in a cloth and apply it gently for short periods (around 10 minutes) at a time. Be cautious not to apply excessive cold or directly to the skin to avoid frostbite.
  • Minimise strenuous activity: Avoid intense physical activities, exercise, or anything that increases blood flow to the face for at least 24 to 48 hours after treatment. This helps prevent increased swelling and ensures the product settles properly.
  • Avoid heat and sun exposure: Minimise exposure to heat, saunas, hot tubs, and excessive sunlight for a few days following the treatment. Heat and sun exposure can increase swelling and potentially affect the longevity of the injectable.
  • Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications: Refrain from consuming alcohol and avoid blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for a day or two after treatment. These substances can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection sites.
  • Sleep position: If you received facial injections, try to sleep in an elevated position for the first night to reduce swelling. Prop yourself up with pillows to keep your head elevated.
  • Be gentle with skincare: Avoid aggressive facial massages, peels, or harsh skincare products in the treated area for a few days. Gentle cleansing and moisturising are generally safe, but consult with your provider for specific recommendations.
  • Follow-up appointments: Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments as advised by your healthcare provider. These visits allow them to assess your results, address any concerns, and adjust if needed.

It’s important to note that these guidelines serve as general recommendations. Always consult with your healthcare provider for specific aftercare instructions tailored to your individual treatment and needs. They will provide you with the most accurate and personalised guidance based on the injectable used and the specific areas treated.
